Kris needed a new bio, so instead of hiring a writer, we went straight to the source. This is Kris’ new bio, by Kris himself. Enjoy.

So I’m starting this out with a question to myself. What do they really want to know? Sometimes I feel like you know everything already. So what could I possibly say that is actually going to make you keep reading and fight the urge of going to YouTube and looking up videos of what some cute cat or laughing baby did today.

I could tell you how much I’m infatuated with music and always have been. How there was never another option for me. How since I was 5 I’ve been singing. Learning the viola at 8. Learning guitar at 13 by sneaking my dad’s everyday when he went to work. Playing at church in high school. Playing at bars in college. But you already know this, don’t you?

I could tell you how I tried out for American Idol on a whim 4 years ago and somehow won the whole dang thing. But you already know this, don’t you?

I could tell you how I was born and raised in Arkansas. How much I love this state and the people that live here. That I bleed Razorback Red. But you already know this don’t you?

I could tell you how I married my best friend at age 23 and sitting here at 26 still think it was the best decision I ever made. But you already know this don’t you?

How about I tell you about my dog Zorro. How he’s the best dog in the world. Literally (in the voice of Chris Traeger from Parks and Rec. Rob Lowe’s character). I don’t care how much you think your dog is the best, mine is better. But you already know this, don’t you?

I could tell you how I have the best fans in the world. They are like soldiers. Or shall I say ninjas. Always fighting. Always supporting. Always encouraging. But you already know this, don’t you? 

So here we go. I’m going to attempt to tell you things I think you don’t know about me that you would actually want to know, but know some of these things I’m about to say you may already know. 

I like cooking and blindly think I’m really good at it. 

I like it when my close friends call me Kristopher. 

I’m very quietly competitive. 

I have no idea where I see myself in 5 years and neither should you. 

Step Brothers is the greatest movie of all time. 

I don’t think I’ve written my best song yet. 

If Chick-Fil-A shakes were healthy for me I would eat one every meal. 

I love standing on the top of a hill and looking at the scenery. 

I read what you said on Twitter today. 

I would rather write on paper than type out what I want to say. Even though I can’t read my own hand writing most of the time. 

When someone asks me “Hey! Anyone ever told you that you look like that guy from that show?” I always reply “I get that a lot.”

I hate talking on the phone because it makes my ear hot. 

I try and wake up every day and thank God for what he has given me. 

I wish I could grow proper facial hair. Someday. 

Mostly, making my new album Thank You Camellia was the most challenging, exciting, stressful, joyful, crazy, and rewarding thing I have ever done and you have no idea how happy it makes me that because you are on this site that the odds of you already listening to it are pretty good.
